My job starts before the pixels. I spend most of my energy on the problem framing, what job is this actually doing for the user, and is that job worth the team's time. I think in trade-offs: user need vs. technical feasibility vs. business viability, and I'd rather ship a smaller thing that's correct than a fuller thing that's guessed.
